The Ultimate in Strength & Protection

Closed-Cell Spray Foam

For maximum insulation performance, closed-cell spray foam is the gold standard. With an R-value of 6 to 7 per inch, it provides superior thermal resistance, moisture control, and structural reinforcement.

Closed-cell foam acts as a built-in vapor barrier, preventing water infiltration and mold growth, making it ideal for basements, crawl spaces, pole barns, and metal buildings. If you need insulation that offers strength, durability, and weather resistance, Dakota Applicators has the solution. Contact us today to discuss how closed-cell foam can benefit your project.

Turnaround time depends on the size of the project but most projects can be completed within 2 days.

Spray foam is typically installed after electric and plumbing has been roughed in and inspected. It is important to note that once spray foam is in place it can be difficult to access plumbing and electrical lines.

Alternative

Insulation Options

Depending on your needs and budget, you may need to use a variety of insulation products. Below are several other options we may use on your job.

Cellulose

Celluslose insulation is made primarily of recycled paper products and blended with additives to ensure fire and insect resistance. Celluslose insulation is often found in attics and flat ceilings.

BIBS Insulation

BIBS (Blow-In-Blanket System) insulation is a variation of fiberglass insulation. It works well in settings needing soundproofing like interior walls. It offers a good insulating value but it does have the possibility of settling.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass and blow in fiberglass insulation is one of the most common types of insulation found today. Although it does not offer many of the benefits of spray foam there are some applications where this can still be a good fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of spray foam insulation?

Spray foam insulation improves energy efficiency, reduces air leaks, prevents moisture buildup, enhances indoor air quality, and strengthens your home’s structure. It also lowers heating and cooling costs year-round.

How does spray foam compare to traditional insulation?

Unlike fiberglass or cellulose, spray foam expands to create an airtight seal, offering superior insulation, moisture resistance, and long-term durability. It also provides a higher R-value, meaning better temperature control and energy savings.

Where can spray foam insulation be installed?

Dakota Applicators installs spray foam insulation in attics, walls, basements, crawl spaces, pole barns, and metal buildings—perfect for both new construction and existing homes.

How much does spray foam insulation cost?

Pricing depends on the size of the project and whether open-cell or closed-cell foam is used. Contact Dakota Applicators for a free estimate tailored to your needs.

“We had Michael with Dakota Applicators, of Gettysburg, SD insulate our new home, along with two outbuildings. He did a great job, which can be attested to with the heat of last summer and the below freezing temps of this winter. The hours that the air handling unit operates per day is limited in number, thus the efficiency of the installation of the insulation is demonstrated daily. Michael, you did a great job and we thank you for all you did to make this a very positive experience.”
